Aushev “Runaway” EP

From a sci-fi Northern European setting, Aushev debuts on JST with his EP “Runaway”. Three original Synthwave tracks blending the aesthetics of Cyberpunk and Noir, with the Ukraine based artist creating a deep and atmospheric soundscape fitting for a mystery novel set in a dystopian futuristic Metropolis. Right from the opening seconds of “Runaway”, Aushev makes it clear that his vision of “dark” and “atmospheric” doesn’t translate into evil things that go bumping in the night or pentagrams. Instead, Aushev aims to create a setting for the listeners to explore themselves by developing their own narrative, much like a soundtrack or a book does.
